All it needs is a fair amount of storage space and bush can claim office spaces across america have the weapons of mass storage destruction(Yeah, I already know, not funny).

jackfrost132

You got 10 feet? I only got about 2-3 feet. Makes the laser pointer a joke. This thing is terribly dissappointing. Click the fire button and 5 seconds later after lots of motor noise it finally pitifully shoots the missile. Where is the stealth in that? Not only that but I couldn't reload the missle on the last site that had just shot, had to shoot the next one to put the missile on the previous site, etc.

Its great that it moves quickly around and up and down, and the laser pointer feature is nice, but overall it is extremely dissappointing due to its firing capabilities. Makes me wary of trying the other ones, but I am going to return this one to ThinkGeek and try the one they claim can shoot six meters.
Marnoot, the range is about ten feet or so.

It looks like what they've done is upgrade the software a little to handle two launchers, and added a laser pointer to the unit. Otherwise, this looks identical to my non-laser-equipped version.

Meetings in my office are so much more fun since I got my launcher.

ninjagin

There's a 3rd party app for the mac that may work for this device. The dev has been pretty agressive in his updates so if it doesn't already, I'm guessing it will soon.

Yes they don't mention anything about the warhead payload. Is this Nerf or bunker buster for getting through those thick cubicle walls?
Does this have a webcam so you can scan around from a network monitored PC and launch when you see a slacker dozing off in the office?
Are these warheads "Syringe Capable" for putting things like tiger tranquilizer in them? Also do they have a software targeting system to compensate for distance and drop to the target?

I can see why no Mac Support, they would use it to deliver granola bars to their pet dogs or some less manly activity than trying to knock out the mail clerk who has eyes for the Melissa the hot secretary...

Hello_Newman

Any idea what the range is on these? The pitiful range on the earlier USB missile launcher is what kept me from purchasing. A range at least approaching a regular Nerf dart gun is needed. How else can I peg the guy across the way when he's arguing with his girlfriend on speakerphone again?

Marnoot

just for the sake of controlling multiple launchers with one computer, this thing pwns. that is, if you can set it to have only one launcher active at a time to save ammo. i'd get a 12-port hub and rig me a security system.

It looks like the laser points directly out the line of fire of the missiles, I guess that means you have to gauge the distance and the amount the projectile will drop yourself.

nzruss
